MÖTLEY CRÜE's SIXX: No More Shows Until 2008, Possibly 2009
June 10, 2007NME.COM has posted part one of MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx's press conference from this year's Download festival, which is taking place June 8-10 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, Watch it at YouTube. On the topic of the group's current touring schedule, Sixx said, "We love to play live. There's only two more shows for us and we won't be playing again until sometime next year, maybe '09, depending on how it goes on making a record."
According to Sound Generator, MÖTLEY CRÜE rocked the Dimebag Darrell Stage at Download on Saturday (June 9) in its own imitable style.
Crashing though a hits-led set, which opened with "Dr Feelgood" and closed with a cover of the SEX PISTOLS' "Anarchy in the UK" sandwiched between "Girls, Girls, Girls" and "Kickstart My Heart", the band was enjoying all the delights the festival had to offer.
"It has been a long time since we last played here and hot fuck we just keep coming back," said singer Vince Neil, before Nixxi Sixx added: "England has made a lot progress on the groupie front since we were last here. I've just had two groupies backstage sucking my dick and they just happened to be sisters."
